Acceptable Use Policy — Petadd
Version: 2026-09-16 · Last updated: 2026-09-16
1. Scope
This Policy sets out what you may and may not do on Petadd. It binds every account — shop, supplier, brand owner, invited colleague — and forms part of the Terms of Service. Where a rule here is stricter than a general statement elsewhere, this Policy applies.
2. Prohibited content
Do not post, upload or transmit content that:
- infringes someone's copyright, trade mark, design right or trade secret;
- is false or misleading about a product, a business, a certification, an award or an origin;
- is defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, obscene, or depicts animal cruelty;
- contains another person's personal data without a lawful basis;
- contains malware, exploits, or links designed to phish credentials;
- you were not entitled to upload — including photography, video and music you do not hold rights to.
3. Prohibited products
The following may not be listed or offered through Petadd, whatever the local law elsewhere:
- prescription-only veterinary medicines, controlled substances, and products presented as curing disease without the authorisations required;
- live animals, and products made from protected species or otherwise breaching CITES;
- counterfeit, replica or grey-market goods, and goods with removed or altered batch codes;
- recalled products, expired stock, and products under an active safety warning;
- feed or treats that breach applicable labelling, ingredient or hygiene rules in the markets offered;
- weapons, hazardous chemicals, and anything whose supply requires a licence the supplier does not hold;
- devices marketed for harming animals, including shock collars where prohibited in the target market.
This list is not exhaustive. If a product is questionable, ask us before listing it: legal@pet.brave-robots.com.
4. Prohibited conduct
- Misrepresentation — impersonating a business or person, claiming distribution rights or a brand relationship you do not have, or submitting forged verification documents.
- Account abuse — sharing one login between people, opening accounts to evade a suspension, or buying, selling or renting accounts.
- Data extraction — scraping, crawling, mass downloading or systematically copying catalogues, wholesale prices, brand pages or the shop directory. Wholesale prices are confidential commercial information; republishing them is a breach.
- Interference — probing or testing our security, bypassing authentication, rate limits or anti-bot checks, reverse engineering the platform, or disrupting service for others.
- Spam — unsolicited marketing through messaging, bulk identical outreach, chain messages, or using contact details found here for purposes other than the trade relationship they were shared for.
- Manipulation — fake, purchased or incentivised reviews; pressuring someone to change or withdraw an honest review; artificially inflating metrics or search placement.
- Circumventing moderation — resubmitting rejected content unchanged, or moving a conversation off-platform to escape these rules.
5. Messaging
Messaging is for trade between shops and suppliers: enquiries, quotes, orders, after-sales. Keep it civil and commercial. Do not send unsolicited marketing to a business that has not engaged with you, and do not use messaging to recruit for unrelated services.
Conversations are private between their participants. We do not read them routinely. We do review specific messages when a participant reports them, when a moderation signal is raised, or where the law requires it — to decide whether this Policy was broken.
6. Automated access and integrations
- Use the documented interfaces. Where API keys are issued, they are credentials for your own account only.
- Respect rate limits and do not engineer around them with multiple accounts, proxies or distributed clients.
- Do not use automated tools to create accounts, submit forms, or generate reviews or messages on your behalf.
7. Security research
We welcome good-faith reports. Write to legal@pet.brave-robots.comwith enough detail to reproduce the issue. Do not access, modify or exfiltrate other people's data, do not run denial-of-service or large-scale automated scanning, and give us reasonable time to fix the problem before disclosing it. We will not pursue researchers who follow these rules.
8. Reporting a violation
Use the report controls where the platform offers them — on messages, reviews and listings — or write to legal@pet.brave-robots.com. Tell us what you saw, where, and why you think it breaks this Policy. Reports about intellectual property follow section 13 of the Terms of Service; reports about personal data follow the Privacy Policy.
A report that has been decided can be raised again if the behaviour repeats or new evidence appears — a closed report never blocks a fresh one about the same account.
9. How we enforce
We choose the measure that fits what happened and whether it is repeated:
- a warning, with an explanation of what to change;
- removal or unpublishing of the content, listing or brand page concerned;
- restriction of specific features — messaging, reviews, ordering, API access;
- suspension of the account pending review;
- termination, and where relevant archiving of the business record;
- referral to the authorities where conduct appears unlawful.
Serious cases — safety, fraud, credential theft, sustained abuse — can go straight to suspension. We record enforcement decisions and act on the same facts consistently.
10. Appeals
If you think a decision about your account or content was wrong, reply to the notice you received or write to legal@pet.brave-robots.com within 30 days, with anything that supports your case. A person who was not responsible for the original decision reviews the appeal, and we will tell you the outcome.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy as the platform changes. Material changes are announced by email to account holders at least 14 days before they take effect, and the version date at the top of this page changes.
